Q + A

What's the best way to travel to Telluride?

For those arriving by air, the most convenient option is to fly into Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ), situated approximately 65 miles away from Telluride. From there, travelers can opt for ground transportation, including shuttle services, rental cars, or private chauffeurs, to traverse the remaining distance to their destination. Alternatively, some may choose to fly directly into Telluride Regional Airport (TEX), which offers limited commercial service but provides unparalleled convenience for those prioritizing proximity. For those embarking on a road journey, well-maintained highways and byways offer a seamless passage to Telluride, with options including US Route 550 from the north or US Route 145 from the south, including a two hour drive from the Durango Regional Airport.

What is your dress code?

We are glad you asked! The dress code for the event will be black tie optional. While we encourage guests to embrace the black tie attire, it is not a requirement. Gentlemen are invited to wear a dark suit with a shirt and tie as an alternative to a tuxedo, should they prefer. For ladies, we suggest a floor-length gown or a knee-length cocktail dress. We kindly request that guests refrain from wearing jeans, hats, sneakers, or neon-colored clothing.

Are Children Invited?

We kindly request that our wedding be an adults-only occasion. While we adore your children, we hope you understand that our venue and the nature of our celebration necessitate this decision. We appreciate your support and look forward to celebrating with you. For guests who are unable to leave their children at home for our wedding, we recommend utilizing a professional babysitting service that can be booked for the event such as Telluride Sitters; https://www.telluridesitters.com/

What will the weather be like?

As Colorado weather is seldomly predictable, we are expecting conditions to be sunny and breezy. Typical highs of 70 degrees and lows of 50 degrees are common during the later summer months in Telluride.

Is photography allowed during the ceremony?

We respectfully request that there be no photography or recording during our wedding ceremony. Our desire is for everyone to fully immerse themselves in the joyous occasion without distractions. Your understanding and cooperation in honoring this request would be greatly appreciated.

Will the ceremony be held outdoors?

Yes, our ceremony will be hosted on the Mt. Wilson Terrace. Cocktail hour will also be conducted on the terrace. Subsequently, we will invite guests to transition indoors to the dining room for a plated dinner. Following the dinner, the reception will commence, featuring both indoor and outdoor settings.
